Math rock from the Cardiff-based three piece.

Opening with what sounds like a surreal Christmas Carol that quickly turns into an Art Brut meets The Pixies indie-growler, this debut EP from Cardiff based Joy of Sex is a speedy, experimental and pleasing little record.
Second track 'There Are No Giants' is the standout here, flailing around from laconic verse to squawked chorus barked over stripped down instrumentation. 'Briefing' has a more erratic post-punk edge to it, with the lead vocals becoming practically seagull-like.
Closer 'Red Rocket' growls over a staccato bassline, boy/girl vocals and drum beat all insistently striking at once until a searching The Cure-like guitar line leads us out of the track.
At four tracks in just over nine minutes it's an extremely brief release, but suggests that this three-piece has enough inventiveness and spark up their sleeves to make them worthy of your attention.. - The Joy Collective

This is my favorite album from Porpoise yet. It has all the fun and energy of earlier albums, with more polish (both in arrangements and production) and a broader emotional range. "Big Cat Tag Team Take Down" is a hard-driving crowd pleaser with a nice guitar solo. California Racist, Silver Bullet and Soldier Bear all bring out a softer, more melodic side of the band that hasn't been so apparent in the past. These songs also show the band's ability to maintain their tongue-in-cheek playfulness while taking on more serious topics. ( CBriggs - Jamendo)

RANDY GREIF (USA) is active as both an experimental musician and the head of Swinging Axe Productions. He has been making music since the 1970s.

IF, BWANA (USA) is one of the aliases of Al Margolis, a prolific experimental musician and the head of Pogus Productions.

PENDRO (UK) specialises in drone/ambient, and has been doing so for some time. His music features numerous varied samples, including exotic instruments and spoken word.

The cd comes in a limited edition of 400 handnumbered copies with insert.
