LIMITED EDITION - 40 hand stamped , printed and numbered copies. Exclusive to Samu. This is my favorite album from Porpoise yet. It has all the fun and energy of earlier albums, with more polish (both in arrangements and production) and a broader emotional range. "Big Cat Tag Team Take Down" is a hard-driving crowd pleaser with a nice guitar solo. California Racist, Silver Bullet and Soldier Bear all bring out a softer, more melodic side of the band that hasn't been so apparent in the past. All 5 tracks on this beautifully selected ambient compilation are united by their use of string instruments as a primary sound source. RELAPXYCH.0 (Swe) comes from a broad musical background including sound design and film music, currently releasing material inspired by the organic sounds of nature. SUNAO INAMI (Jap) has been releasing music since 1998, and now runs Cave Studio and his own label, electr-ohm in Kobe. His work has explored various genres of electronic music. RANDY GREIF (USA) is active as both an experimental musician and the head of Swinging Axe Productions. He has been making music since the 1970s and has ventured into filmmaking as well as music. IF, BWANA (USA) is one of the aliases of Al Margolis, a prolific experimental musician and the head of Pogus Productions. He has collaborated with Evan Leed (USA), an avant-garde musician operating within his local underground scene, to create this track. PENDRO (UK) specialises in drone/ambient, and has been doing so for some time. His music features numerous varied samples, including exotic instruments and spoken word. Fantastic, epic EP from the Worcester-based solo artist. Guitars + loops + drums = sound. Battles + Volta do mar + Dirty Three = Theo. Theo, the work of one Sam Knight, is one for the math rock fans. Taut, chugging guitar loops layer up with frenetic tapping patterns that interweave in spiralling complexity before near sub-atomically precise, powerhouse drumming clatters and builds each song into juggernaut of riffs and rhythms.
